Front Stabilizer Link Replacement Guide

Overview

A worn stabilizer link can cause rattling over small bumps and reduced cornering stability.

Basic Steps

  1. Park safely, loosen wheel bolts and lift the vehicle.
  2. Remove the wheel and inspect the link joints and rubber boots.
  3. Hold the stud with the proper tool and remove the upper and lower nuts.
  4. Compare the new link length and install it in the same orientation.
  5. Tighten to specification, reinstall the wheel and road test.

If noise remains, inspect control arm bushings and strut mounts.
