Overview
A worn stabilizer link can cause rattling over small bumps and reduced cornering stability.
Basic Steps
- Park safely, loosen wheel bolts and lift the vehicle.
- Remove the wheel and inspect the link joints and rubber boots.
- Hold the stud with the proper tool and remove the upper and lower nuts.
- Compare the new link length and install it in the same orientation.
- Tighten to specification, reinstall the wheel and road test.
If noise remains, inspect control arm bushings and strut mounts.
